In 1951, William Patterson released, We Charge Genocide: The Crime of Government Against the Negro People. In his petition he tried to present the plight of African people in the country to the United Nations.
This Tuesday night at 9PM on Militant Minded Radio, join the researchers of the Militant Mind Movement as we present "We Charge Zimmer-cide: Why Our Self Destruction is Not Self Inflicted."
Zimmer-cide is "the killing of a young Black male with impunity under the pretense of fear , then blaming the Black community for the action"
Join us as we present the case of how all the social pathologies in the Black community can be traced back to the attempted genocide of Afrikan people.

In other news, Hip-Hop artist Yassin Bey aka Mos Def is raising awareness about the force feeding (torture) of Guantanamo Bay political prisoners who are on a hunger strike. Speaking of hunger strikes, Prisoners in California, Washington and Oregon went on a hunger strike and started a work stoppage on July 8, 2013 until their demands are met. Hip-Hop artist Karl Jenkins who is better known as Dice Raw and associated with the Philly Hip-Hop/Neo-Soul band "The Roots" joins us on the program tonight to discuss his recent album release titled "JIMMY'S BACK".
The album was inspired by Michelle Alexander's best selling book "The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Color Blindness" which is about mass incarceration in the so-called "land of the free". The album's title also honors his fallen childhood friend Jimmy Davis a fellow Philly rapper who was murdered on June 20th.
