If you are an independent artist that makes Hip-Hop music and R&B with a positive or thought provoking message in your music, send us your MP3 to add to our station playlist. Please make sure the ID3 metadata is included in the MP3 file.
“ID3 is a metadata container most often used in conjunction with the MP3 audio file format. It allows information such as the title, artist, album, track number, and other information about the file to be stored in the file itself.” You can add or change your ID3 tags by opening the file in Audacity or other audio editing software. To edit in Audacity, click on “File”, “Open Metadata Editor”. We accept files up to 128kbs but no higher and no lower than 64kbs.
To send us your music for play on the Message Music station, email messagemusic[@]blacktalkmediaproject.org the mp3 files and permission to play on our Message Music station. This is a free service to independent artists that create the kind of music the masses should hear. Please send the radio/clean version if possible
