Suppression of the Black Power Movement

Download Podcast

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the 1963 Christmas Boycott that was called in response to the bombing of the 16th St. Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama that claimed the lives of four little girls. The boycott was initiated by the group, Artists and Writers for Justice, which included Dick Gregory, James Baldwin, Ruby Dee and Louis Lomax. Although many people are familiar with the bombing, the boycott has been erased from history books.

Tuesday Night on Militant Minded Radio, join us as we discuss what really happened to the boycott and the strange power that white foundations have over the Civil Rights Black Power Movement. Special guest TRUTH Minista Paul Scott.

When Black people kill other Black people w/ Silky Slim

Download Podcast
Tonight we will be talking to Arthur “Silky Slim” Reed about his work to stop violence and senseless killings in our communities. Although many people are visiting family and friends this week, for many there will be an empty place at the table because of senseless violence. Silky Slim is a former gang member who once was about that "thug life" but after several near death experiences, he made a decision to be part of the solution and not part of the problem. You can check his space on the web at http://stopthekillinginc.org.

After we talk to Silky Slim, we want to weigh in on rappers speaking out or not speaking out on the issues rooted in racism white supremacy. There were many Black people who took issue with Jay Z not using his position, platform and power to speak out on racial profiling in a meaningful manner after he was pretty much forced to weigh in on Shop & Frisk, then there are those that gave him a pass as a victim of racism and as such should not be expected to say or do anything to confront racism and white supremacy. Now we got a white rapper who goes by Macklemore who used his position and the American Music Awards platform to speak out on the issue of racial profiling and the killing of young black men. Will Black people have a problem with a white rapper speaking out on racial profiling and the killing of young Black men?

APoLE and the psychological sickness of Kanye & Jay Z

Download Podcast

What kind of psychological issues are Kanye West and Jay Z dealing with in their lives that make them seem so disconnected from the communities from which they grew up in? Kanye is selling a clothing line featuring the Confederate Flag and Jay Z’s response to the racial profiling issue concerning the high-end retail store Barneys seems lukewarm at best.

To help us decipher what may be going on with these two Slave-Ship-Hop corporate artists, Sister Abena Afreeka joins us on the broadcast tonight. Sister Abena will frame the conversation around “APoLE”. This stands for “Abena’s Paradigm of Lived Experience”.

“APoLE is how I view the world and it takes into account that we live or experience life on five levels, Individual, Family, Community, Society and Spiritually. The events taking place which involves those brothers are happening on and from each level and how it affects us on all those levels” - Abena Afreeka

The decades old secret meeting that is still impacting the Black community

Download Podcast

Over the years, there have been rumors about a secret meeting that took place that destroyed Hip Hop. However,  tonight on Militant Minded Radio, TRUTH Minista Paul Scott will reveal the truth about a secret meeting that took place decades ago that is still impacting the Black community in 2013.

In Hip Hop and Ratchet Rap related news......

An open letter to Al Sharpton by a man who claims to be one of the founders of the National Action Network asks Sharpton to return the blood money he received from Cash Money in a deal to publish his memoirs. He also claims that he has personally heard Rev. Sharpton refer to Black politicians by the “N-Word”.

Rihanna who is on a concert tour was blasted on Instagram for some photos she posted of her posing in front of the Sheikh Zayed mosque in Abu Dhabi. Look at the pics here. Tasteful or Tasteless?

First Ice T blasts on the current state of hip-hop calling it materialistic and now Sean “Puffy” Combs comes out and says Hip-Hop is too soft. Does either man have a point?

After his little twitter beef with Jimmy Kimmel over Kimmel making fun of Kanye’s media interview where he was complaining about European designers not liking his idea for leather sweat pants, now Kanye is pushing a confederate t-shirt after bringing White Jesus on stage in Seattle. Is Kanye for real or just trying to keep his name in the media?

Is Hip Hop Still Black?

Download Podcast

Joining us again tonight is Truth Minista Paul Scott who is a Hip Hop journalist, activist and member of the Militant Mind Movement Think Tank who blogs at No Warning Shots Fired.

The Truth Minista says Hip Hop started out as the voice of young Black America. In the late 80's, "conscious Hip Hop," exposed many people to the teachings of Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey as well as others. But as it gained mainstream popularity the Pro-Black message began to fade. Join Militant Minded Radio, as guest TRUTH Minista Paul Scott of No Warning Shots Fired.com poses the question, "Is Hip Hop Still Black?"

In slaveshiphop and ratchet related rap news....

Kanye West goes ballistic on Jimmy Kimmel through Twitter for doing a skit that portayed Kanye as childish. A blog attributed by someone called Anti-Intellect says Kanye is a victim of White Supremacy but that Kanye "many ways he is complicit in the very system that continues to frustrate him."

A young rapper by the name of L’A Capone whose real name is Leonard Anderson was shot and killed while leaving South Shore studio in Chicago. The young man reportedly was friends with Lil Durk who is an affiliate of Chief Keef proving once again that slaveshiphop leads to the death of young black men.

Ever since twerking was embraced by Miley Cyrus and pushed into the mainstream, people have become twerk crazy with it. A New Orleans transsexual rapper named "Big Freida" perhaps wanting some corporate media attention, led a group of New Yorker's in twerking to set a record that will be listed in the Guinness Book of World Records. Tragically one of the twerkers said they "were blessed" to be part of the event. SMH.

Million Woman Marching with Empress Chi

Download Podcast

Our guest tonight is Empress Chi the founder of of the historic 1997 Million Woman March and President General of the MWM Universal Movements. Empress Chi says it is important that MWM bring forward its global Universal Movements because it is not only in divine order but also because a nation can rise no higher than its women. With the obvious increase of misrepresentation of the Original Woman, the moral deterioration and violations of our sisters today, it is more than apparent that if this is not dealt with expeditiously we will be faced with a serious family and community dilemma like we cannot imagine, have not ever seen before and will not be amply equipped to do so.

In Hip-Hop and Ratchet Rap related news….

Slave Ship Hopper Gucci Mane is going to rehab while in the joint and admitted on Twitter he has a drug problem. Download Podcast

Joining us tonight is Truth Minista Paul Scott. Hip Hop journalist and activist, Min. Paul Scott has exposed the truth about the controversial Juicy J 50K  "twerk" scholarship that the rapper is offering coeds. There is a lot of misinformation about the scholarship coming from the rapper's PR department which Scott refutes in his research.  Scott is also asking college students to ban the "bands to make her dance man" and other ratchet rappers from their institutions of higher learning.

This week in Hip-Hop and Ratchet Rap related news….

Questioned by a TMZ reporter about rapping about Molly, Juicy J admits he has influence over the youth but says it is up to individual to investigate drugs before taking them. We got the audio of the exchange.

Speaking of Molly, Did Rick Ross learn a lesson about rapping about raping women after you have drugged them with Molly? Some are questioning if he really lost his Reebok deal.

Even though both Juicy J and Big Sean recently released new albums with heavy promotion, Juicy J’s label, Sony Music even dropped $50,000 for a “Twerking Scholarship” to promote his album, both albums sold less than 100,000 copies in their first week of release.
Speaking of Juicy J’s “Twerking” contest, very few have entered it considering the amount of money being offered to the winner. Also, some of the top vote getters decided not to twerk but instead gave a pitch about why they could use the money to continue their education.

During the second half of the show we will be joined by author Angela Freeman aka Lady Shabazz, to discuss the sabotaging of Black relationships through Slave Ship-Hop and other Zionist controlled media. An excerpt from her book " “God’s Gift: How To Be A Good Black Woman To A Strong Black Man" says,
"The single most powerful force in modern Black relationships is the words that come out of the mouths of Black women. This alone can make or break a union. More often than not, our words are aggressive, negative and disrespectful. This misbehavior has become almost automatic, meaning that usually we are not even aware of how destructive our speech is to our men and children.Changing your thinking is the first step towards improving the way that you choose to communicate. America’s media influence has been destructively ingrained in our subconscious mind. The Zionist controlled hip hop industry has skillfully trained Black men to disrespect and violate us. Meanwhile, the Zionist controlled movie industry has trained us to fight against our men whenever possible."
