Joining us on tonight’s broadcast is Michael Sterling who was with the Grammy award winning reggae band Inner Circle. Michael Sterling is a true music industry heavyweight and musical director, quadruple platinum songwriter, lead guitarist and singer. We will ask him to share the keys to longevity as an artist and gets his views on the state of the music industry today. Michael also runs his own label Michael Sterling Music Group.

Paul Porter pens open letter to Bill O’Reilly challenging him to challenge corporate media in wake of the Video Music Awards shown on MTV which featured Miley Cyrus in a highly sexualized performance and raised the ire of parents.

Even though both Juicy J and Big Sean recently released new albums with heavy promotion, Juicy J’s label, Sony Music even dropped $50,000 for a “Twerking Scholarship” to promote his album, both albums sold less than 100,000 copies in their first week of release.
Speaking of Juicy J’s “Twerking” contest, very few have entered it considering the amount of money being offered to the winner. Also, some of the top vote getters decided not to twerk but instead gave a pitch about why they could use the money to continue their education.

Lil Wayne gives up the sizzurp on advise from doctors and in interview with Katie Couric reveals his mother gave him a gun which he would take to school for “protection” from haters. She would later encourage him to drop out of school despite being an honors student and pursue his GED. He is also planning his retirement in five years to spend more time with his children.
